S.A.F.E. Pet Rescue
SAFE was founded in 2008 with the goal of rescuing animals from kill shelters when they are facing euthanasia. To date, SAFE has rescued over 28,000 wonderful, precious pets who, through no fault of their own, became homeless. Each has a story, a heart, and feelings, and deserves a chance to have the home they want so desperately.
The Betty Griffin Center
Betty Griffin Center operates a 54-bed emergency shelter, six transitional apartments, and provides outreach services, training, and education throughout St. Johns County, Florida.
We employ 62 full-time staff and 14 part-time staff. Program staff is trained and certified in the areas of domestic and sexual abuse. All staff members also have additional specific credentials based on their job functions. Programs are provided in St. Augustine, Julington/Fruit Cove, Ponte Vedra and Hastings at schools, the courthouse and at community partner agency locations
Haven Hospice
Serving advanced illness needs in North Florida since 1979, Haven has been the recipient of the Circle of Life Award from the American Hospital Association for its excellence and innovation and has been recognized as a Florida Pacesetter for its leadership in promoting advance directives.
Haven services patients and families in 18 Florida counties: Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Clay, Columbia, Dixie, Duval, Flagler, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Lafayette, Levy, Nassau, Putnam, Suwannee, St. Johns, Union and Volusia. Haven is an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, a leading provider of comprehensive home and community-based health services to complex populations in need of specialized care.
